In the beginning of this course, I wrote a paper explaining my philosophy of distance education. In contrast to face to face education, online learning requires different styles of instruction to appeal to a variety of learning styles to motivate ranging abilities and interests.
I also created a distance education course teaching a fifth grade science standard, using wikispaces. In this unit, students participate in individal and group assignments, as well as weekly discussions, using technology. The two-week course includes a gradebook, syllabus, and rubrics.
